Outcomes: LO1 / LO3
This sememster's project was a bit difficult and very different from what I expected. This page is dedicated to talk about the whole project and to explain how we managed to integrate every Learning Outcome. Let me start with a bit of explanation of what the project is all about.
As a team, we embarked on an ambitious project to create a user-friendly nutritional website aimed at helping individuals embark on a journey towards a healthier life. Our vision was to design a platform that simplifies the process of generating personalized nutritional plans, leveraging the power of AI to enhance personalization without overwhelming the user with complexity. This project involved a series of thorough analyses and strategic planning to ensure its success. Here's an in-depth look at our journey and how we integrated our learning outcomes throughout the process.
Because we had a client that we were making this project for we needed to create our Studio. The first three things that we made were our Logo, Studio Contract and our Brand Identity, which you can check out bellow.
In line with LO1, we conceptualized, designed, and developed an interactive media product by applying user-centered design principles. Our process began with user research, where we conducted surveys and interviews to understand the needs and preferences of our target audience. This research was foundational in creating engaging concepts that resonated with users.
We then moved to prototyping, where we developed interactive prototypes to visualize the user interface and functionality. Throughout this process, we utilized visual design techniques to create an appealing and intuitive interface. We also explored emerging trends, particularly in AI and machine learning, to enhance the personalization of our nutritional plans. This approach ensured that our final product was not only visually engaging but also functional and user-friendly.
To meet LO2, we focused on transferable production by documenting and commenting on our code using version control systems such as Git. This practice was vital for maintaining code quality and facilitating team collaboration. Using GitLab, we managed code versions and worked collaboratively, ensuring that everyone was on the same page. Our commitment to code documentation involved commenting on code to explain its functionality, which provided clarity for current and future development.
The iterative nature of our creative process, as outlined in LO3, was integral to our project's success. We began with an initial concept, developing preliminary ideas and gathering feedback from stakeholders and potential users. This feedback was instrumental in refining our ideas and guiding our subsequent iterations. We created and tested prototypes, making necessary adjustments based on user interactions and feedback. Throughout this journey, we documented the evolution of our ideas and the decisions that shaped our product, this you can check out in the Concept Document that I have put down bellow.
Adhering to professional standards, as specified in LO4, was paramount in our approach. We employed a relevant methodological approach used in the professional field to formulate project goals, involve stakeholders, conduct applied research, provide advice, make decisions, and deliver reports. This methodical approach ensured that our project was thorough and well-organized. Stakeholder involvement was a key component, as we engaged them through interviews and feedback sessions to ensure our project aligned with their expectations.
Finally, Learning Outcome 5 emphasized personal leadership, which played a significant role in our project. Throughout this process, I reflected on my strengths and weaknesses, particularly in the areas of competitive analysis and project management. This self-awareness guided my actions and decisions, ensuring they were in line with my core values of collaboration, integrity, and innovation. Embracing challenges as opportunities for learning and development, I was able to enhance my skills in research, analysis, and teamwork. This project not only contributed to my professional growth but also fostered a learning attitude that will benefit me in future projects.
In conclusion, creating this nutritional website has been a rewarding experience that allowed us to deliver a meaningful and user-friendly platform. Our thorough competitive analysis, user-centered design, and iterative development process ensured that our product met user needs and expectations. By applying our learning outcomes, we maintained a high standard of professionalism, collaboration, and personal growth, setting the foundation for future success in the field of interactive media and technology.
